Fit To Print

hi kids:

Tons of stuff happening in the nancie de ross camp. Quick and sorrowful exit out of Etna, California. Miss the two children I was “mom” to for nearly one year. I think of them everyday and wish for them the most wonderful life has to offer. I will see you someday soon.

More music, more music! I have logged a thousand miles on my car just in the past 2 weeks promoting my stuff. it’s been great. Very successful show in Ashland, Oregon leads to many breaks for me. My Band Of Brothers pulled thru like the champs they are. We packed the house, sounded great. The show was filmed and looks cool too. Thanks to Bruce Walker of Starwalker Studios for his generosity with his studio and allowing us rag tags to haunt his space for our rehearsals.

Elixir Strings and Gibson Guitars have signed me as an artist to endorse. Great news and good deals considering Elixir Strings are 20 bucks a pack. Now they are free. Thank you Elixir for believing in me.

Gibson guitars (the only acoustic guitar worth playing in my opinion) has signed on to sponsor the Song Writers In The Round slated for June 12th 2004 in Mt. Shasta, Ca. We are negotiating a sponsorship for our fall tour which will see us performing in Nashville, Austin, Colorado, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland, Ashland and back home to roost.

I am writing many new songs which will appear on my next CD tentatively titled "Colorful Language." the cd will be produced by clive gregson (unless andrew gold decides he wants another hit record) and will be out spring 2005. two of the new songs that will appear on my next CD are; "run little darlin" and "whiskey, rum, brandy and beer." both songs inspired by recent experience. Both songs are upbeat pop/country/eagles/california singer song writer tunes . i have included the lyrics to both the new songs in the diary entry.

the mountains are fabulous this time of year with all the wild flowers peeping out, the wildlife coming back to view and of course the fly fishing. went out to the mc cloud conservancy and saw 2 rattlesnakes. heard someone spotted a mountain lion and a cinnamon bear mid day on the river. glad it wasn’t me.

plan on making a few camping trips this summer before we head out on tour. will be going gold panning with my gal pal geraldine from etna and i hope to get over to forks of salmon for some fishing and skinny dippin'!

happy to be alive and grateful to all my friends and family who helped me thru my recent loss. I love you matthew and isaac. my heart will always be with you!

till then,
nancie
