To Make It Right

Many new and exciting things albeit five flippin' feet o' snow for this sun bunny girl. been a long time coming for the nuance to have all that heaven will allow. her own home with recording studio beautiful mountain retreat loving healthy family and friends a calmed down neurosis and pounding sentiment, mind still vivid with ideas that often mount into mounds of fear that trails me like a hungry dog, rabid even. but everybody's got habits, habits that shouldn't be fed.

walking distance to post office for daily postal euphoria,,, mail I love getting it. health food store and video rentals in 5 feet of snow with kids snowboarding down my front street. hearing from the old timers how this is the worst winter snow since 1993 or was it 1992 or was it 1892? you are not far from love and comfort living here. not far from a conversation that could last well into the night even with your friends who have children and day jobs. much ado about nothing. far cry from bay area nonsense everyone living out Shakespeare's tragydies with nothing better to do

"oh cursed spite if ever i was born to set it right"

indeed to make it right. what the fuck is that, making it right? there simply has to be more than right in the equation. oh for fenyman and his ability to match the reason with right. the right reason. maybe that's it. making the reason right. hmmm.

on with the music, the "reason" that you came to this page. all is moving along. new household has a fabulous music room where nothing but wonder is dancing. my view is old growth pines and mounds of fresh powder snow. good for the gander. begin production and arrangement work with a vibrant young band from ashland called "the better half." they are destined for big big things and i am happy to be getting working with them. a few other shasta artists are coming to "the nancie de ross studios" for their project work. mainly arrangements and song structure as well as coaching on song writing ideas and proper translation of ideas into musical verse. nothing worse than putting personal diary entries to music... yuck. specificity implies generality. have 25 songs in the chute ready for recording and will begin my second cd within a few months. tentative title: "music for happy times." i am in the process of writing a musical. i have 6 completed pieces and the title of the play is: on this side of the street.

other than that i will be launching a link on this site called guest book there you can post comments and get to know each other.

happy days are here again,
nancie
